I plan to travel from Cyprus to Syria, Lebanon, Jordan then on to Egypt.?

What should i consider when undertaking such a journey? I am an Irish girl and I plan to travel with a male friend, a cypriot national. All advice would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.
