Okay, so right now I'm a middle schooler. At the high school I'm going to, freshmen can take 3 elective cles. Right now in middle school, Im taking orchestra, band, chorus, tech ed/FFN. In high school, which electives should I take to improve my chances of getting into an ivy league or music college? Any are fine, (foreign languages, music theory, whatevr. the high school has a lot of choices. (stanford, harvard, dartmouth, yale, princeton, julliard, curtis..) If this helps, I've played violin for 9 years, singing all my life, flute for one year, i speak japanese, i have a 4.0. And im not trying to brag, or anything, Im just SUPER worried about high school and I REALLY want to get into a good college. Thx so much!

Why are my croton's leaves yellow?

In a 12 team league, I think you have a really good team. Helbeck is way under-rated and will benefit heavily from the addition of Julius Jones. Addai is one of the top running backs in the game and Maroney is the starter on the best team in the league. Although when you think of New England, you automatically think of Brady and Moss, however many people have already forgotten how good Maroney played at the end of the season last year once he was healthy. Look for Maroney to have a career year. Edwards is a top 5 receiver, and Colston is the #1 receiver in a p heavy offense. I agree Cotchery could take over for Evans, however it will really depend on which team figures out it's starting QB mess first.Scheffler is not the best of tight ends, but then again once you get past Witten, Clark, Gates, Winslow, Gonzalez, there isn't much to choose from. All in all for a 12 team league, I would rate you a 8.5 and think you will contend all year.

There is a guy I have been infatuated with for 3 years for some odd reason. One day, (i didnt even know he existed back then really. Seniors...ever feel like you have no control over things? In the week that I've been home from NY I've had the

surgery for carpal tunnel, and now am dealing with bronchitis. Hubby started a new job a few weeks ago and is gone over 12 hrs. a day, so I'm on my own a lot. Stopped taking the Hydrocodone because I didn't like the "purple haze" feeling it gave me. Just discovered that I can type some..which is a BIG plus, but hate all the other limitations. Really don't like depending on people for rides to and from therapy, resent all the pill bottles on the counter and trying to remember what to take and when...and would give anything to be able to shampoo my hair right now! Didn't mean for this to be a boo-hoo post, but that's what it's become. Guess this funk is normal, and now that I know I can type without a lot of discomfort, I'll turn on the computer more often and get back into Y/A again. Looking forward to all your funny and interesting questions and stories, so keep them coming. And even tho' we're not supposed to chat, we do...and I missed it!

You are right when you say: "I always considered the Senior level person to be an ally...on the same team ...". That's how it should be!!!... but it doesn't sound like this person is cut out to be in a senior level position. To me it sounds like they're not a confident enough person to stand behind the work being done when it is questioned by the client. You guys are the professionals and have done your work the way you did for a particular reason and he should explain WHY you did it instead of knocking it in front of you. That is VERY unprofessional. He/you can listen to the client's comments and take that into consideration and make necessary changes to accommodate but putting you and your work in the hot seat in front of the client is very wrong! This is something he should have said to you before the meeting, or if he didn't notice before....then after the meeting in PRIVATE. Perhaps this is something that you can bring up to him in a private meeting of your own. If it doesn't fix anything, it might be time to look for another job. One where they will appreciate you! In both instances you can use pushfit tap connectors. There is a female threaded connector for the tap tail or toilet inlet, and a pushfit end for the copper pipe connection. Pushfits are reliable, reusable and easy to use. All DIY stores will have them. Be gentle with the connection to the toilet inlet (don't cross thread it) as they can strip threads if you are heavy handed. Just tight enough to stop leaks.

Here is what I have done in the past with Cingular on the same problem I had as you. Contact cingular and ask for the insurance phone#. They will give it to you if you tell them you have insurance through them. You will then call the phone# of the insurance company for replacement of your stolen phone, sorry I don't have it handy. The insurance company will ask you your name, etc. and the incident. Since you have already reported stolen you are good to go. It will cost $50.00 for replacement. Then they will mail it to your address the same phone. Most of the time a referbished phone in good condition or a brand new. My only concern is because it was a few months ago, the insurance may argue that an issue for replacement benefits. Still, call them, you can explain you were in hope of it turning up. Quality of roxy skis?

roxy is a generally new company in the ski industry and they are based off the look of the ski not the performance, ive never heard that it is a low quality in that it will fall apart but it is pretty much a low performance ski to ski on...if you are looking for a cool looking pair that is easy to ski on i would try Rossignol, either their all mountain or freestyle skis

My PC won't accept Twain 5 for my flatbed scanner, what am I doing wrong?!?

I have Windows 98, and an Epson Perfection 610 flatbed scanner. I downloaded Twain 5 from the Epson website, and tried to install it with InstallShield Wizard. Tells me to restart computer. I sign in. It says found new hardware. Tells me to insert Windows 98 2nd edition. Tells me that the file 'ubscan,sys' on CD Rom cannot be found. I re-insert CD Rom. try to copy files from D:\win 98. Tells me to insert disk again. Go to skip files. Tells me to restart computer. Etc. etc. What am I doing wrong? PLEASE help, because when I then go into Microsoft photo editor, it tells me that Twain 5 is not found.

No, it isn't. There is Oakland Hills, where all the really rich live. But for basic people, you would have to live in the ghetto. It is so dirty and disgusting there---a true ghetto. I like Joe Rocket too, mine has a removable rain liner. Mine is black and silver. I haven't seen any of any brand with foam armor on the chest. just the shoulders, elbows, and back. It's far more likely if you put it down that you will need the protection on your joints and back. And frankly, padding on the front would make the mesh useless, the jacket VERY warm, and possibly too stiff to ride in with any comfort.

Spit up vs. vomiting? feeding mothers..?

My daughter is also 2 months old and is exclusively fed. First off, I think that if your baby is gaining properly I would not worry about the whole spit up thing. It really does look like more than what it is. My baby is a spitter as well and although it can be annoying (and messy) I'm just trying to hang in there with it. My doctor immediately offered a prescription for some reflux medicine when I told him how often she spits up. I refused it. It's not bothering her and I'm a little conservative when it comes to medicating anyhow. If you think that he is overeating then I would do a couple of things. One, only offer one at each feeding and make his feedings a little closer together instead (at least during the day.) Also, if you suspect that he is wanting to nurse more for comfort then just offer that empty to him even if you have to do it several times. If it doesn't satisfy him then give him the full because he probably is truly hungry. Plus, by doing this he is going to get more of that hind milk that is a little bit more fattier and more fulfilling. If it makes you feel any better we are having a some green poops here and there as well. I've always heard why the poop is green but have never heard that it is bad for the baby. I would ume that as long as most of his poopy diapers are that yellow, seedy poop then you should not worry. I just would not try to force him to nurse longer. Go by his cues and he will let you know what he needs. I hope I helped some. Good luck!

You have to plug the iPhone into itunes first and put it into Recovery mode. Then you reset the iPhone to factory settings. The downside of this is you will loose any content that was on the iPhone. However even with the sleep on broken you can still turn the iPhone on by pressing the home on. Actually come to think of it you can't put the iPhone into recovery mode without the power on at the top because in order to put it into recovery mode you have to hold the power on and the home on at the same time.

I used to run 100m in school athletics competitions and stuff, nothing major really. My best time was 13.69 and I never really trained. I got this time when I was 13 or 14. I'm 15 now but will probably get 16 seconds if I ran now. I always mean to get back into training as I always enjoyed this race. How could I best prepare myself and what direction is best for me?

I have wanted to serve my country for a long time. I am currently 15 and entering my sopre year of high school. I get great grades (almost always 4.0's) and take all of the honors cles I can get my hands on. I will be taking all sorts of AP courses in the next two years as well. My schooling has a large emphasis on math and science, specifically the harder varieties of it. I am moderately physically fit, and also have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I also play airsoft on a military simulation styled team, where we use military tactics and skills to achieve our goals, and play for whole days sometimes. I have wanted to join the Marines for a long time, as my family has a lot of history with them (as well as the Navy). I have always been impressed by their status as Marines. However, a guy I know has been trying to get me to join the CAP and consider the Air Force in the future because he says that it has the best options for college (not to mention with CAP service you can enter the Air Force as an E-3 or E-4, I forgot which). I have always thought that Infantry was the most exciting MOS to choose, with all of the rounds you get to fire, the bonds you form, the time outdoors, and living off of what you can carry on your back for days at a time. I have also been impressed by all of the more elite platoons like STA and Recon. One of my friends (he is almost shipping off to Marine Corps Basic Training) told me I could enlist in the DEP when I was 17 and go to boot camp after I graduated. I know that even if I decided to stay in for a longer time than the basic enlistment, I would want to make sure I was able to get a 4 year college degree somehow. I figure that I could do the first two years of it during my first enlistment but how could I do the last two? If I could get some advice on anything I have said that would be great. i been getting weird vibes from my brother lately. i just feel like hes been giving me a lot of bullshit. it all started when he betrayed me over my cousin in August. Didn't make sense why he deleted me and not our cousin bc she was the one at fault for talking a lot of smack about my new relationship. she was just jealous. So i accused my brother that he cared more about her than me. Then 2 weeks later, Halloween week, my bro told me she attempted suicide; obviously this is worst time in her life bc well, emotionally she's just a mess right now. I believed him but still didnt feel justified for it I would never pick someone else's side bc it hurts ppl's feelings. So I thought something was up. Now, we're in Novemember, I read on Facebook that my uncle, which is my cousins dad, inherited a business; when my cousin brags on Facebook that she is now "heiress" of her new company then she goes on to tell my brother that she is gng to fly my brother in one day to see her. of course that pisses me off so i immediately called my brother and he says im overracting that it was just a joke. but i still do not believe him bc i been getting weird vibes just by the way hes been talking to me thru text like he was better than me. And mind you, this was the lowest point of my life. No job, I had absolutely no money at all coming in. So his behavior causes a lot of arguments between us he disrespected me so badly calling me insecure, hanging up on me w/ words in my mouth, cursing during an argument, threatening to delete me off fb and never seeing pics of my nephew again. i always thoguht he was WAY out of line all pissed off but he was flying off the handle. then again, few days later he calls and tells me he was at the brink of a divorce after 13years which probably explains reasons for his behavior. and i could really really tell that was the honest to god truth! My boyfriend (ex now) told me last week he went to get a checkup and was diagnosed with Chlamydia. I have no symptoms but Chlamydia appears to have few symptoms normally. I went through all my leftover medicine (from a weird bronchitis/upper respiratory thing I had in March) and I had a Z pack I didn't use and a whole bottle of unused Cipro. I took the Z pack and then started immediately on the 500mg Cipro 2x a day like the instructions had. Will I still need to go get tested? From what I researched they treat Chlamydia with a Zpack and Cipro used to treat it before Z packs came along. I don't want any lectures about taking medicine without a doctor's advice... when you lose your health insurance, you do what you can to get by. How can I help me depression while waiting for a professional?

I am a freshman in high school. All my life I have been unhappy and joyless. I would cover it up by acting like a monkey at school. (Not literally) I've quit so many things in life. My attitude was always they'd do better without me I'm such a waste of space. Other times I would be they are such losers I don't deserve this. I just hate being around myself now. This sad incapable kid. I have a few friends at school that are really great. It's a miracle I still have them since I constantly ignore them and annoy there every day lives. I was born into a oriental family whose main goal is success. But I thought to myself. If this is what I have to be all through high school I rather die. I want to be well rounded. Im just constantly mean, irritable, annoying, everything. Dint get me wrong Im not a bad kid. People don't neccessarily hate me. I just really really want to do well in school while enjoying these 4 yearsbecause I know theyll past in a blink. I dont need everyone to like me. I dont. I tried getting involved in school this year but ive ended up quitting and getting ill. So please someone out there please help me. Ive gotten so tired and lifeless more than usual. And i have this haze over my head not letting me do anything.

HELP!!!!!???? ANXIETY?

I'm afraid that i will get sick. I don't have a germ phobia. I just feel like the world is going to end if I get sick,I know it's not but, I feel like it is. I went to Wyoming over the summer and, well my dad said i just got altitude sickness. We went to this one restaurant and i felt sick so i stood outside while my dad finished. I could not get back in the car, I was really afraid I was going to throw up. After that we went home early. Ever since then, I get this really weired feeling in my stomach when I'm not at home (I'm at the store or something). I hate that feeling. We got back in May this summer. It was a really expensive vacation. And I feel really bad about ruining it. My dad really needed this vacation and my step mom makes me feel really bad about. She says "Why did you do this to your dad? He really needed this vacation!" Then she called me a "12 year old night-mare". And I would just sit there and cry and cry. Every now and then, she always says "we don't have any more money because we spent most of it on that vacation, that you (me) ruined." Please tell me what to do?! Btw I'm 12. And I haven't talked abut this with anybody except my mom and she doesn't know what to tell me.

This guy I really like came to talk to my friend and I was standing right next to her but I was silent because I was shy so he looked at me and smiled and said "i never heard yyou talk before *laugh* whats your name?" I at that moment blused bright scarlet and he just giggled which made me blush more. Heart problem..and now strange symptoms?

about 12 years ago i had open heart surgery to fix quite a severe hole in my heart. I was left with a heart murmer, and the Dr said i would probably need medication for heart palpatations in the future, which i do occasionally have. Anyway, i'm 16 now and i've been experiencing some wierd symptoms, and i was wondering if anyone could help identify the problem? Basically i sweat too much for even a small amount of exercise such as a steady walk, and it's usually in my face, i look like i've been for a swim. My face also turns red and my cheeks start burning at the same time, it's not just a blush, they actually go scarlet and become quite uncomfortable. This also happens for no apparent reason when i'm just sat doing nothing. If I am actually doing any exercise my face tends to turn purple and the rest of my skin covers in pink splodges. They usually last for up to 20 minutes. Another problem is that I seem to turn cold really easily, especially my hands. They also turn pink with white splodges in the cold and swell up slightly and they''re quite painful. Anyway, i'm sorry to have made this so long, it's just that i really want at least a vague idea of what's happening. Thanks in advance.

Planning on bottlefeeding: Would Gerber Nuk Bottles be a good choice?

I am planning on bottle feeding my daughter when she is born and I am wanting to use Gerber Nuk bottles and pacifiers. Upon reading some information about the Nuk bottles, they say the are shaped like that of a . If I don't feed, will she still be satisfied with the nuk , or should I just choose a bottle with a more rounded "normal" nipple? Do you think a baby who is bottle fed would enjoy a bottle with a nipple shaped like an actual one, or does it not really matter? Also, is it appropriate to choose the same kind of nipple for a pacifier as the bottles she will be using? I also wanted to try the pacifier that Nuk makes because it has the same nipple as the bottle.

So my ex and I broke up two weeks ago. We just kept on fighting a lot were under a lot of stress because of school and work and it didn't heelp.
