Why are my lips tingling?

I live in GA and I saw this kind of g/fig thing growing on a 15' tree with plain leafs on it. The fruit of what ever sort looked funny so I told my friend to try it and he said only if I did so we did, both of us tried he licked it and pretended to but missed my had and licked it instead. It kind of had a bitter taste and the g/fig thing was like a brown/tan color and grow's in clusters like grap's. It has a fig like shell but split's like a g. What the F*** did I just eat XD???? and is it ok that I ate it???? O.o
